A.J Eathorne

A.J Eathorne Biography

Born in Calgary, Alberta, A.J. Eathorne spent her childhood growing up in Penticton, B.C. and now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. She didn't begin golfing until she was 13 years old, but had incredible talent and continued to play. She won the British Columbia Amateur Ladies Championship from 1995 to 1997 and won the Canadian Ladies Amateur Championship in 1997.

After highschool A.J. decided to attend New Mexico State University to further her pursuit of a career on the LPGA Tour. At the time of her graduation, Eathorne had received Big West Player of the honours, she was a two-time Academic All American, and in 1998 she was the school's Athlete of the Year. She also received a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.

Eathorne turned pro in 1998 and qualified for the 1999 LPGA by finishing as a co-medalist at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. She has had marginal success on the LPGA so far; she's finished in the top 10 many times but she is still searching for her first victory.
